Our organization was founded in 2023 but our experience covers decades. Our partners have practiced medicine in doctors offices and hospitals. We’ve managed physician practices and networks, negotiated with insurers, crafted healthcare policy and built innovative, successful businesses.
Most importantly, our mission has always been to create positive change for doctors and patients. Today, Arches partners with primary care clinicians to support their desires to focus on what matters - better outcomes for patients and greater career satisfaction.
The Team
J.C. Kryder, MD
CEO, Founder
Dr. Kryder (Georgetown, Harvard, MIT) is a Boston-based physician and medical analytics pioneer. He worked for two decades as a capitated primary care physician, multi-specialty medical group manager, and IPA executive. In 2000, Chris founded D2Hawkeye (sold to Verisk 2009) and also co-founded Generation Health (sold to CVS 2011); and chaired Valence Health (merged with Evolent 2016) and chaired Higi (sold to Babylon 2021). Between 2014-2020, he was a healthcare IT investor and led seminars, including at HBS. He currently serves on several boards. He held, by gubernatorial appointment, the primary care physician seat on The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, 2016-2022.
Todd Stockard
COO, Founder
Mr. Stockard is a healthcare industry executive with over 35 years experience. Todd was co-founder, President and COO of Valence Health. Valence was a tech-enabled services company supporting provider-based risk organizations across the country. He has extensive experience negotiating, implementing and successfully operating risk contracts for both payors and providers. Valence was merged with Evolent health in 2016. Todd remained with Evolent as a technical advisor for two years after the sale. He has since been consulting with a number of organizations in provider risk.
Manoj Mathew, MD
CMO, Founder
Dr. Mathew is an Internal Medicine Hospitalist & SNFist holding the distinction of Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine.
He founded a successful hospitalist group in LA (to Sound 2021). Manoj was with HealthCare Partners / Optum from 2001 to 2015 serving as CA Regional Medical Director with primary P&L and clinical accountability for Group and IPA operations. He has consulted for GE Healthcare and other entities utilizing his extensive expertise in value based care. In 2016, during the formation of Agilon Health, he was recruited as the founding National Medical Director, exiting mid-2021 after IPO.
